EasyWebWare
Our company invented, developed and owns a new technology which will revolutionize the use of computer. Our Easywebware technology allows companies and or end users to develop complete solutions at lower cost. It is currently being used by the big four accounting firms. Our Easywebware technology is used to solve problems unattainable before and it helps to create and install complete solutions in a fraction of the time using old methodologies.
Our Easywebware technology uses Excel as the development environment. Excel is a tool that an end-user can use to develop complete solutions. Excel allows any business specialist without even the training in computer programming and databases to perform all the necessary calculations create input screens and design reports. Our software allows the non technical end-user to create finished applications. To do that a team of software specialists (computer programmers, database designers etc.) would have to be used. Further more, Excel is the most popular financial and accounting tool. It is truly a unique application system oriented to the end-user.
This is why we developed our Easywebware technology as a natural accompaniment to Excel. It not only utilizes the best qualities of Excel, but also adds extra features which allow the end-user to create applications more powerful than those developed solely in Excel. Features that include the application’s calculations and inputted data stored in a background database, networking and a web enabled interface.

· Clients will now benefit with prompt and accurate information.
· The EasyWebWare™ Technology supports any solutions that accounting and finance professionals can create in Excel. These professionals can complete the design, and then execute and verify their links, formulas and data totally in an Excel environment. The EasyWebWare™ Technology can increases profitability by taking desktop applications and placing them in an Internet/Intranet environment.
· The EasyWebWare™ Technology takes applications and creates a web front end (Internet/Intranet) and a Client/Server backend (SQL server).
· The EasyWebWare™ Technology can also be used by anyone who needs to create a form based application. Where it stores and manipulates input.
· There is no need to limit your functionality by following restrictive database design rules. If additional functionality is required, just add to excel
· An EasyWebWare™ created application is automatically an Internet/Intranet application that is a complete copy of the original Excel application. This application includes all the desired functionality.
· User (not programmer) can create a complete application in Excel with the layout, relationships, and formulas.
· Once the user finishes and tests the application, it is ten converted by the EasyWebWare™ tool. Please note that such a site can be run in an office, or in a company, or nationwide or worldwide.
When developing financial systems, we recognize that we must duplicate the way business professionals normally do their work. Financial analysts need the power and efficiency of Excel to create solutions for their clients. The Easywebware supports multiple scenarios with variables input to help the user find the “best” solutions.
Excel Workbook is the input to the Conversion process.
Only results are sent to user. The intermediary computation(s) stays in the backend limiting the amount of data returned to the user. An EasyWebWare application stores workbook data and business rules in the backend (SQL Server) hidden from the client.
The following functionality is available though a user interface (user interaction). Please note functionality is automatic once created.
1) Security, both data and web-site
2) Data and formula override
3) Hide and show (data and objects)
4) Menu
5) Database table management
6) XML support
7) Entity Structure
A Special Offer

EasyWebWare™
Technology Excel to SQL Solution
The Easy Web™ Excel to SQL Solution creates critical
financial systems from proven Excel applications. Accounting and financial systems that now exist in Excel
Formant.
1. The format of a database displayed in a web page needs to be tabular as in an Excel-like format.
2.
In order to be used in a “Corporate Environment” with speed and data
integrity the EasyWebWare technology uses SQL to retrieve data and store the
business rules that manipulate the data.
1. Using the EasyWebWare™ Technology:
a. Excel spreadsheets are replicated into HTML/XML.
b. Links from HTML/XML cells to the SQL Server are automatically inserted.
c. Business rules written in Excel are converted to SQL format and stored in the SQL Server.
d. Since data is in HTML/XML it is automatically configured as a web page.
2. Table data in the web page appears and acts as if it was in an Excel spreadsheet
3. Data in the web page is manipulated using SQL functionality.
4. Any Excel application can be converted, from complicated applications to basic electronic questionnaires.
5. Workbooks/Worksheets can be easily added.
6. A new front end and or interface can be added using any HTML/XML document (any vocabulary) and attached to an existing EasyWebWare™ created application. This may used to document, manipulate or interface to any existing system. (Use your own Web Page)
7. The man hours used creating and maintaining database oriented web pages can be decreased by an order of 10 to 15 over the manual HTML/XML approach, resulting in an application that is “Cheaper, Better and Faster”.
8. An EasyWebWare™ created application has the full functionality of the original Excel application with additional capabilities. Replicating Excel’s full Functionality:
a. Excel cells and formulas are converted including circular references and the criteria to perform circular iterations. Every cell is converted to the web including, but not limited to font, font size, background and foreground colors, borders etc.
b. The environment is user-friendly with popup menus, text, values, formulas, etc.
c. A cell may contain a formula or a value; data can be made non-editable or hidden.
d. Object conversion includes: Check Boxes, Text Boxes, Option Buttons, List Boxes, Combo Boxes, and Command Buttons etc.
e. Charts are transferred to the web page, enabling users to see comparisons, patterns, and trends in data
f. Pictures are transferred to the web page.
Loss of Knowledge - Problems occurs when the people who were part of the process are no longer available and modifications need to be done to the current system. This can be anything from fixing a problem to merging information from another system (but not limited to). If the system was totally controlled and developed from the business side, without turning over the design and implementation to the technical side, these applications could be finished using fewer resources and with less errors.
1.
Selection hierarchy. Each application is described by a hierarchy of
entities with calculation sets (at the lowest level). The calculation set is a
group of related items that can be identified and are used as “what if”
scenarios. Once entered, an internal temporary work area is created where the
“what if” scenarios can be reworked, saved, copied, etc. The EasyWebWare™
application sets up a menu tree structure with entities from the top down until
the calculation set level. Each calculation set is the lowest portion of the
tree. The calculation set(s) can be individually saved (“what ifs”). The
calculation set is a self-contained or functionally independent group or portion
of the original work sheet(s). One displayed web page is a typical calculation
set. The creation of all entities and calculation set(s) is under control of the
user (not programmers).
2. Link cell with hierarchy. There is ability to link workbook data with an entity. The user selects a cell to be linked with the entity and every time the cell on the web is filled – the corresponding part of the entity if filled automatically. This is displayed in the appropriate place the hierarchical tree (menu tree) that produced for user navigation.
1. Convert range. The user can select a range to be displayed on the web. This allows the user to hide an intermediate results or administrative data. Even hidden formulas can take part in the calculation. There is also an ability to skip converting a worksheet even though all its formulas and data will be a part of the final calculation.
2. Hide and show. Based on the user provided formula values, the user can control whether or not the selected range or entire worksheet is displayed or hidden...
3. Security. Applications and proprietary data are safe from unauthorized access since computations and data are stored on a secure server. What the outside world sees is what you want them to see in the web browser. Users can assign rights to use different sheets as read-only or apply protection to workbook elements and protect from viewing or changes. Different users through access rights may see only the data they have rights to see. Specific objects can be hidden based on a set of rights. One could allow users to create, save or delete their own “what ifs”, but not to see certain types of data such as formulas or tables used to create tax calculations.
1. Override with constant. The user can select cells to preserve contents if no user input to the cell has occurred. The cell on web will be represented as an input box where the user can enter the value. If this has happened the entered value will be used in calculation and the original value or formula will be ignored. If no input was entered, the original value or formula will be used in the calculation.
2.
Override with formula. This feature allows the user at
runtime (in the browser) to change and save particular formulas (selected at
conversion time). If a formula is overwritten in MS Excel the original formula
is lost. But the EasyWebWare™ technology keeps a copy of the original formula
value as a default value. The original value can be made available just by
creating a new calculation set.
3.
XML communication. The XML interface allows background SQL
calculation execution, which consists of the following steps:
accepting an XML document from the other application, authenticating access
rights and validating XML data, storing input data, calculating, sending back
results or error messages. The entire XML conversation is performed in real-time
mode.
4.
Replace. The user can add a
workbook/worksheet by inserting a formula which is a workbook/worksheet name, a
place in the main workbook to substitute for and an event to start the replace.
This allows the user to use additional logic from different workbooks based on
runtime values from the EasyWebWare™ formula-driver. Thus, the user can create
a single application from multiple workbooks with the user interface by adding
logic and setting criteria to point to the different paths to workbooks now a
converted part of the application.
1. Excel Dump. There is a runtime capability to convert web pages into Excel worksheets. EasyWebWare™ allows the user to pre-select web pages as a group and store them, then in runtime the user only needs to select a group to convert them to Excel. There is also a runtime interface to select web pages to be converted automatically. A use of this functionality it to creating documents such as invoices or proposals.
2.
Printing. The same pre-select and runtime technique is used for
printing.
EasyWebWare™
provided Aggregate
Functionality
Aggregate functionality allows the user to create reports across the entities, grouping them by certain criteria. One can now produce aggregate reports using these functions not available in Excel.
The aggregate functions are:
· AVG; Count, Max, Min, STDEV, STDEVP, SUM.
EasyWebWare™
provided XML document connection.
The EasyWebWare™ technology includes the ability to attach any XML document to an existing EasyWebWare™ created backend. The worksheet data stored in the easy web backend can be reformatted and or transferred to an external system using any XML vocabulary. This can be used to report in different formats or even environments. It can be used to report on merge data from foreign systems. It can used to transfer data to those foreign systems. This means that data created in Excel can be transferred to or merge with, data from any foreign systems, by only using a XML document.
The EasyWebWare™ technology has two ways to combine databases. One, the structure and load rules for the conversion can be entered into an Excel template for direct conversion or two, an XML document with defined structures can be added to the excel template.
The EasyWebWare™ technology does not require programmers to perform the data conversion tasks especially those tasks related to data anomalies. Data conversion can be repeated process that compares input and output to expected results. The conversion task may have to be redone until the output is acceptable. This process may require rules changes especially when handing special cases. The Data conversion process also includes error reports for all data that cannot be converted or to flags specific conditions. The analyst does not have to perform the time consuming task of conveying these conditions to programmers if he is creating the rules himself.
The links will then exist in Excel. The Excel workbook(s) then can be compiled by the EasyWebWare™ Technology to create a Web page with the real time links.
Five Years ago our company was tasked by one of the big five accounting firms to move a group of international tax applications created and maintained in Excel to a single share point. The partner, his staff and or his clients needed to access this system anywhere in the World.
We offered the following solution: to create a technology where input would be Excel workbooks and output would be a fully functional client server environment with a SQL backend without programming.
Some of the requirements we accomplished were:
1. We converted 100 percent of the functionality of the inputted Excel workbooks with the look feel and formatting of the original Excel, making it available to the final System
2. Changes to the application can be made to the excel workbooks and added to the system by the technology without programming or loss of formatting or information.
3. A hierarchical structure was created to control partner/ company/ divisions/ client/ what-if storage and access. This structure and access to the system is to be controlled by the partner and his staff (Security).
4. Performance over Excel was increased many-fold. (The current system included tax calculations that were set up as optimizing formulas with hundreds of thousands of calculations per iteration, far exceeding Excel capabilities. The current system performs these in less than one second.
5. Each operation of the technology itself is visual and easily manipulated by the business professional without technical or programming assistance.
1. Objects and charts
2. Hide and show sheets, ranges, objects
3. Security: pages, objects, data bound.
4. Link to custom HTML
5. Backup/Restore
6. Export to Excel
7. XML interface
8. Split sheets, creating menu
9. Print: strait and custom
10. Aggregates
11. Selection hierarchy
1. Circular calculation
2. Country calculation
3. Country tax grid
4. Formulae override
